Salamandra PYRALIS

The PYRALIS is the quadruped reconnaissance platform of Salamandra TWI. Where tracks stop, the PYRALIS keeps moving. On stairs, across rubble, through mud or over industrial terrain: the PYRALIS adapts to the environment, not the other way around. Fully configurable per deployment, suitable for fire services, defence, law enforcement and rescue teams.

Pyralis — Latin for firefly: fast, light, and agile. Lives in and around fire. Symbol of agility and precision.

Deployment

The PYRALIS is deployed where terrain is too complex for a conventional platform. The quadruped walking structure navigates obstacles that would halt tracked machines. The sensor package is modular and configured per mission to meet the specific operational requirement.

Applications

Reconnaissance in complex and uneven environments, situational assessment during USAR operations, sensor data collection for defence and special units, advance reconnaissance in urban and industrial areas, deployment as communication relay in hard-to-reach locations.

Operation

The PYRALIS is operated via handheld remote controller. The quadruped walking structure responds intuitively to changes in terrain, allowing the operator to focus on the mission rather than navigation.
